1. Tesla Model 3

In 2021, the Model 3 was the second-best-selling vehicle overall, excluding battery-powered vehicles. Tesla continues to be the market leader as electric car sales continue to rise into 2023.
If you’re at a Supercharger, Tesla claims that you can add 150 miles to your driving range in just 30 minutes, or you can recharge your car at a rate of 37 miles per hour from home. If you have time on your hands and it’s not an emergency, don’t bother with three-pin charging.
With a WLTP driving range of 305 miles for the base Model 3, 340 miles for the Performance, and 374 miles for the Long Range, it should come as no surprise that the Long Range has the most range. In our experience, Teslas are significantly more likely than many competing EVs to come close to meeting those claims.
2. Mercedes EQS
- Battery range up to 464 miles
Mercedes-Benz EQS is the first really opulent electric vehicle. It combines outstanding interior comfort and quality with the dead silent operation you would expect from an electric vehicle.
It’s hardly surprising that the Mercedes EQS tops the lists for range because it has one of the largest batteries available (108kWh, to be exact). In addition, it is one of the most opulent electric saloons available, however it is not inexpensive.
3. Tesla Model S
- Battery range up to 396 miles
The Tesla Model S still has one of the greatest ranges of any electric vehicle on the market. If you prefer speed over distance, there is also a high-performance Plaid model available, however the build quality isn’t quite on line with other EVs.

All models also have fast-charging capabilities. A Ford charging station, with the capacity to refuel at 32 miles per hour and recharge the battery over night, can be ordered online and installed by licensed electricians.

The Tesla Model X, despite what its creators will have you believe, is essentially a people carrier version of the Model S. This is an electric car, just like the S, and it makes use of comparable parts, but it has a more usable body.

We have only driven the 204 horsepower vehicles up to this point, and they are quite simple to get along with. Because acceleration happens instantly, you can easily weave in and out of traffic jams.
7. Skoda Enyaq
- Battery range up to 339 miles
The Skoda Enyaq is an all-electric SUV and the company’s first entirely new electric vehicle. It competes with options like the capacious Ford Mustang Mach-E, the attractive Nissan Ariya, and the mechanically comparable Volkswagen ID4.
The Skoda Enyaq comes in two battery configurations: the 60 and the 80. The 60 has a 180 horsepower electric motor and a 62 kWh battery pack that provides 246 miles of range between charges. The 80 has a range of 338 miles, 82kWh of capacity, and a more potent 204hp electric motor. You may also choose the 80x, which has 265 horsepower, four-wheel drive, and the same battery but a slightly reduced range of 318 miles.
8. Polestar 2
- Battery range up to 394 miles
You might not be familiar with the Polestar 2, but this Swedish EV is interesting. It incorporates an amazing electric system along with everything that makes Volvo great, including the sophisticated design and cutting-edge safety technology. But unlike a Tesla, you don’t get a dedicated charging network.
9. Volkswagen ID.4
- Battery range up to 325 miles
The 2023 ID.4 SUV is Volkswagen’s mass-market electric vehicle, and it successfully combines comfort, practicality, and enough range to enable drivers to convert from internal combustion. Its driving style could need a little more playfulness, though.
10. Audi Q4 E-tron Sportback
- Battery range up to 320 miles
The Audi Q4 E-Tron Sportback is worth a look if interior room and aesthetic appeal are priorities for you. Despite having a sloping roofline, this SUV with a coupe-like design has plenty of space in the back and is really comfortable to drive. Just be prepared to spend a good deal of money on alternatives.
